Fundamentals of Sailing

The course is designed to coach new and experienced sailors to be great crew.

We offer the two-day weekend Fundamentals of Sailing course as part of the ONE°15 Sailing School program, but it is also available to our Club members if they need a refresher course. Let us show you the basics of sailing and crewing with our fundamentals course so that you have the confidence aboard any boat to help out your crewmates. More importantly, your future crewmates and skipper will have confidence in you.

Skipper Certification

The course consists of four modules designed to coach experienced crew to be Club Skippers.

The four modules cover, local knowledge and Club protocols, boat equipment and boat handling under power, sailing skills, crew overboard and spinnaker handling. These modules are designed to be taken in sequence. However, students may take any module(s) to refine their skills and then challenge the skipper test at the discretion of the Director of Sailing Operations.
