Instructor Affiliates
Our Instructor Affiliates (“IA”) are carefully selected volunteer coach/instructors who take out Club Members primarily as Fleet Captain skippers.
Experienced Club members with skipper privileges can be invited to be Fleet Captain skippers. Each Fleet Captain is charged to taking our Club Members and covering a portion of the Skipper Certification Test with their crew. In essence, our Fleet Captains are giving back in terms of time and energy to help to Club members become better sailors.
Race Committee
Race Committee volunteers play an important role in assuring races run smoothly. They help organize Club racing and special regattas throughout the season.
Club racing is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons and our Race Committee runs races for the local J105 fleet as well. Debriefing sessions follow each race, so if you would like to view racing from a different perspective and learn a lot in the process – join our Race Committee.
