Come get an introduction to match racing from Chris Poole, one of the premiere US skippers on the match racing circuit. Learn all about match racing and the Riptide Racing team.
Chris Poole, Riptide Racing: Chris grew up in Falmouth, Maine where he learned to sail at age 10 at Portland Yacht Club. He first got his feet wet with match racing when he became an intern at the Chicago Match Race Center during the summer of 2011. Since that summer Chris and Riptide Racing have competed all over the world to improve their skills as a team. This season the team starts the year ranked 25th in the world and Chris hopes to take the team into the top 15 or higher by December. In doing so he hopes to earn a possible tour card for the 2018 WMRT season and become the first american since Ed Baird to compete on the WMRT.
