Another great weekend event. We had several J/80s and Melges 24s on the line. The anticipated strong winds and Easterly winds did not materialize and the event was sailed in a Northerly breeze with winds strength in the 8 to 12 knot range. The current was fierce in the Upper Harbor and active barges and mooring balls played havoc on some strategies.

Hats off to Greg who took around an unfamiliar (with each and Greg) FC crew without incident.
Folks love this race due to the “navigation skills” employed, making decisions on whether a spinnaker can be flown, actively trimming the jib and main off the wind, deploying and dousing the spinnaker on Port or Starboard and having time to look around beautiful NY Harbor.
